Thanks for the llama

I thought I'd do this as a quick thank you note for all those who send me llamas.  I feel sort of bad because I'm so slow to respond on these, and now it seems like I got over a hundred in my mailbox.   Anyway, I saw some other people making notes like this and pasting it to their responses.  I thought how cool.  

So if anybody has sent me a llama and not heard from me, I'm sorry about that.  I don't want to come across as rude, I'm just terribly slow.  But anyhow, I'll be catching up soon.

By the way, does anybody know what the llama thing is about?  I've been on the DA for almost ten years and I never really thought to ask.  Is there like a point system or prize for accumulating these.  I mean I've got like an entire zoo of these things by now.  Also I see a cake icon.  Is that for Birthday's or something?  Just curious.
