   Peter is truly an amazing artist who never fails to impress me with his talents. Not only does he do art, but he can do music and movies as well. He is definitely one of those inspirational 'giants' on the DA who keeps a humble profile while posting art that is 'out of this world'! So if you get the time, try to check out his gallery. This is the character Nariko from the sony video game Heavenly Sword. I never got to play the game but the graphics really caught my attention. Even though I don't yet own a sony playstation or nintendo gamebox, I still look at the game art for inspiration. It use to be my dream to be a game designer, but I never felt my art was quite good enough, plus it's a lot of hard work.  So for now I stick with playing with my PS2, both for inspiration and fun. I am a game junky when I get the time.  A few games I love, either for graphics or game play are: Silent Hill , Resident Evil , Condemned , F.E.A.R , Halo , Hard War (that's an old PC one) Omnikron , Twisted Metal , Destroy All Humans , Red Dead Redemption , Dead Island , Left for Dead , Armored Core , Gears of War , Medal of Honor , Call of Duty (though everybody kicks my butt at it) , Quake , Doom , Unreal , Angry Birds (yeah I got hooked too) , Uncharted both 1 and 2 , Gran Turismo , Resistance Fall of Man , Tomb Raider , Mortal Kombat II and III , that X-men game , Infamous (love that one) , Half-Life all of them, Myst and Riven , Tetris , Asteroids , Defender , Pac-man , Tron , and yes even Dig Dug (I think I gave away my age on that last one!) Does anybody remember that old text game Zork? That was a classic. Anyway, I think I pretty much will always love games. And I think the people who work on them are super talented. My hat goes off to them.  |

Johnathan Roebuck (Illustrator/Editor) Edward Arnold (CGI Artist)| Hi everybody. I just wanted to make a quick comment on my online comic that I am currently working on. It's a horror graphic novel that will be about 120 pages when done. I'll be posting it here as a work-in-progress. It's been a fun project for me, but I must warn people up front that there is serious violence, nudity, and gore within this comic. It's nothing more than what you would see in a horror movie in the theaters, but just the same, I felt a word of warning should be voiced here. Thanks for all those who have watched thus far. Your comments and suggestions have been both helpful and encouraging. I really appreciate the advice. At the Nartopia.com mag, I don't really get to hear much feedback on any of my stories, so I am eternaly greatful for the Dev Art and the vast amount of talented people on it. I've definately learned to grow as an artist here. Anyway, thanks again, and I hope you enjoy the "Necreshaw" graphic novel. I'll try to get a few pages out every week. Thanks for your patience! |
